Kuta is a tourist destination that also serves as the capital of Kuta District, Badung Regency, in southern Bali. It was one of the first towns on Bali to undergo significant tourist growth and is now one of Indonesia's most popular tourist attractions as a beach resort. It is well-known across the world for its long sandy beach, diverse accommodations, numerous restaurants and pubs, and the large number of renowned surfers who visit from Australia. The Balinese Provincial Government believes that preserving Balinese culture, natural resources, and wildlife is critical to the island's future growth. To that purpose, it has restricted tourist development to the peninsula on the island's extreme southern tip; Kuta beach is on the western side, while Sanur is on the eastern. To the north of the peninsula, no new tourist development is allegedly authorized.

Maumere is the administrative center of the Sikka Regency and the second biggest town on Flores Island, Indonesia. It is located on the island's north shore, with the port in the north-west section of town. Administratively, the town is divided into three districts under the regency: Alok Barat (West Alok), Alok, and Alok Timur (East Alok), with the latter two also include a number of large islands off Flores' north coast.

Moni is a small village on the Indonesian island of Flores, Nusa Tenggara, near the volcanic Mount Kelimutu. It also serves as a suitable location for visiting the volcano's colored lakes. Mount Kelimutu National Park is the primary attraction. Beautiful at sunrise, the three mineral lakes at the summit (in the craters) change colors with the shifting light of the morning. The waters' colors may shift altogether. Go later in the day to view the stunning lake colors in daylight.

Bajawa is a town in Flores, Indonesia, and the capital of Ngada Regency. The town has natural hot springs for swimming and volcanic landscape due to the closeness of the Inierie Volcano. The populace is mostly Roman Catholic. The quaint villages are the major attraction for tourists visiting the area. The most well-known settlements are Bena, Gurusina, and Tololela. Although the villages are definitely tourist destinations, they are also home to average people going about their daily lives. Some weave ikat, while others merely care to their cattle.

Ruteng is a small town in the hills on the western end of Flores Island, Indonesia. It is the capital of Manggarai Regency and served by Frans Sales Lega Airport or Ruteng Airport. The population is mostly Roman Catholic, although the old Manggarai habit of caci (whip fighting) is still practiced at weddings and is a popular tourist attraction. The Liang Bua archeological site is close, about 10 kilometers north of Ruteng.

In the eastern Indonesian province of Nusa Tenggara, the fishing town of Labuan Bajo is situated at the western tip of the sizable island of Flores. It serves as the capital of Kabupaten Manggarai Barat, the West Manggarai Regency, one of Flores' eight principal administrative divisions. Once a sleepy fishing village, Labuan Bajo (also spelled Labuhanbajo and Labuanbajo) is today a popular tourist destination and the regional administrative hub. Although there is considerable strain on the local environment due to the rapid increase in visitors, facilities to support tourism activities are developing quickly.

Komodo is part of the Lesser Sunda chain of islands. It lies between the substantially larger neighboring islands Sumbawa to the west and Flores to the east. Komodo and the nearby islands of Rinca and Padar make up Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the Komodo dragon. It also boasts crystal-clear waters teeming with vibrant coral reefs, exotic marine life like manta rays, and mesmerizing underwater vistas. Stunning pink beaches, lush forests, and breathtaking viewpoints create a complete picture of one of the best-untouched treasures of Indonesia. Home to the legendary creatures, Komodo has about 2,500 fairly ferocious dragons which live alongside wild boar, buffalo and deer. This kind of the world’s largest lizard can grow up to 3m long and weigh over 70kg found only in the wild in Komodo National Park (mainly in Rinca and Komodo islands). This makes of the park a unique and special place to visit. You can take guided tours to see these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat, either on foot or on a boat tour. Apart from exploring the wild life, scuba diving and snorkelling in the park waters are among Indonesia’s best. There are 260 species of reef-building corals, sheer-drop walls and around 1,000 species of fish and marine mammals, including manta rays, sharks, sea turtles, dolphins and whales. The waters in the south are cooler than those to the north, creating an ideal habitat for corals and reef fish, while to the north, rich plankton and nutrients attract a wide variety of temperate marine life. For snorkeling lovers, Pantai Merah (Red Beach) offers butterfly, parrot and triggerfish, giant clams and colourful corals at close range. The gorgeous beach is pink due to an abundance of red coral in the region.

Ubud is a town located in the central part of Bali island, known for its rich arts and culture, as well as its lush landscapes of rice fields and tropical jungle, offering a contrast to the southern beach areas.
