Spend a couple days in Bangkok for a blast discovering floating markets, riding in tuk tuks, and sampling weird and wonderful snacks at one of the city’s many street food markets. Escape the hustle and bustle of Bangkok with a visit to Chiang Mai, or even Chiang Rai in the north. Get your kid-friendly kicks by cycling the city’s backstreets, checking out frenetic night markets, toddling around temples, or heading up into the mountains to visit one of the region’s hill tribes. One of the interesting things to do in Chiang Mai with kids is to interact with rescued and rehabilitated elephants in the Elephant Nature Park. Roaming with the elephants, preparing food, and getting to know the elephants while feeding them will be an incredible experience. Continue to the south for idyllic islands featuring clear blue seas and secluded beaches such as Krabi, Koh Samui, Koh Phi Phi, etc. Embark on an array of outdoor activities, including an island-hopping tour to relax and play on the palm-fringed white sandy beaches, a dive into the islands' crystal-clear turquoise waters to discover colorful coral reefs, and a vibrant display of marine life featuring fish, rays, and turtles.
